Highlighted Library Services for Faculty

  • for your classes: СŷÊÓÆµ faculty and instructors can schedule in-person sessions at Guarini Library (M–F) or online via Zoom. Sessions cover research and information literacy, tailored to your course or as a general introduction.  Hands-on practice with research assignments can follow the session or be scheduled separately on another dates.

    Submit a request (two-week advance notice recommended) via the link. Scheduling depends on staff and space availability.

    Types of Sessions:

    • Course-Tailored: Focused on course-specific databases, research tools, and assignments; may include demos, discussions, and hands-on practice. Hands-on practice with research assignments can follow the session or be scheduled separately on another dates.
      • Duration: 1–2 hours (or longer per request)
    • General Orientation: Overview of library services, spaces, and collections; may include demos, discussions, or a tour.
      • Duration: 30–45 minutes (or longer per request)
  • Faculty Orientation: Available for new, returning, and adjunct faculty, highlighting library resources and services. Faculty may drop by the Reference Desk on the 2nd Floor or schedule an online or in-person session by contacting Min Chou @ mchou@njcu.edu or 201-200-3190.
  • Ask a Librarian: Get help with research, library resources, and other related inquiries
  • Technology Access: Computers, scanners, portable chargers, and more available for your needs.
  • Course Reserves: Place course materials for students to use in the library.
  •  Suggest books, journals, or media to enhance your curriculum.
  • Curated Collections: Explore books, eBooks, journals, and online databases to support your teaching and research.
  • Borrowing books from СŷÊÓÆµ Library
  • Borrowing media materials from СŷÊÓÆµ Library
  • Interlibrary Loan: Borrow materials from other libraries for shared resources across networks.
  • Reciprocal Borrowing: Use you СŷÊÓÆµ ID to check out books from VALE (Virtue Academic Library Environment) member libraries in New Jersey.
